Barely Political was one of those first video hit channel, with Obama Girl making a runaway hit.
BP eventually branched out to other project like the Ward Room and Jennifer Themeles, and in Nov. 1st 2007, Barely Political joined Next New Networks.
Dec. 10th 2007 becomes the first major appearance of Andrea Feczko...
Jan 2008, Mark Douglas quickly followed the mainstage...
Feb 2008, Michael Stevens started making videos on BP...
Sep 2008, Lauren Francesca started appearing in Barely Political...
After the election made the nobody Obama at the time of Obama Girl in June 2007 POTUS... Obama Girl started to branch out in YouTube Live and Project for Awesome (!)
Then came the Inauguration and the political stuff really left the building (I don’t think that’s how the metaphor works...) and BP started to move away from Politics like YouTube comment fight, still they brought Mike Relm to do some remixes so I guess they’re fine...
YouTube Comment Fight- first YouTube parody and first appearance of Anastasia! Probably the best satire outside politics.
One of the first channel to ramp up the ramification of annotation to a YouTube game with Chris Brown (Also the first video to jump the celebrity wagon)
Auto Tune the News with the Gregory Brothers showed BP has good taste in YouTube Music and also, SEXY CYBORG! (Michael lost weight...)

Sorry, May 6th 2009, my favorite series in BP starts. No, not Key of Awesome... Tech Know! It was the best... Just the best.
Kindle was a new thing back then... good time, good time.
I call this the Golden Era of BP, Tech Know, the parodies, the memories...
By the way, Indy Mogul becomes closely associated with BP after the Next New Networks merger...

At 2009 E3 is when I think BP really took the stride... Rusty and Andrea gets better at acting...

Tech Know Andrea takeover is weirdly reminiscent of the downward spiral Andrea had on her channel...

While Feczko was running around doing stunts, Mark had a idea for a simple song... Key of Awesome was born on Oct. 19th 2009. (Did you know BP did a Community remix before it was cool... yeah, that’s right.)
Humble beginning... Key of Awesome didn’t do parodies till #6 with Lady Gaga... and #7 was a Mike Relm remix... Early had a indie feel to it though... I like it. Also, Cry Baby is the theme to the series after all... Dale appeared on behind the scenes to it!
Everything else was on a standstill... The Key went on parodying and making songs...
Personally, I think Behind the Awesome created the sense of character that made people attach to the people creating.
Chad Vader appears in lot of BP videos... Matt should be collaborating more! Mike say Donkey a lot.
We found Justin who is 13, Ducky the Mascot, Andrea reinventing herself as Ke$ha, responses (Feb. 9th, 2010), more Dale, eventually the tribute video (#18, Apr 7 2010) placed the theme... with streaker in streamy... (that was horrible, 2011 oscar horror)
Bieber Devil #19 is pretty best. Then came May 12, 2010 and Tech Know returns!
Owl city gives puppets to play with... especially the wolf! June 8th 2010, Andrea branches out and that’s her downward spiral...
Katy Perry becomes the turning point for BP for me... BP starts to reach out to people... it wasn’t a troupe anymore... also, Frank.
June 30, 2010: Vsauce is formed... so much in there to make another episode like this.

Jun 30, 2012: YouTube Complaints. Barely Political was sold off to YouTube so this stuff... is all YouTube, BABY!!!

Final Verdict: Sorry for a short resume style review... I just want a little rundown of the long and illustrious history... As for my opinion I don’t want give criticism as obviously they’re just having fun and nothing is going to stop them because them having fun is comedy gold, much like WOTO in a way.
