Daniel brings up a lot of good points. Breaking and entering, however, is very sketchy. The maps are creepy, though. This video is actually well done, I thought the Ceremony was poorly done.

This is seen as an interesting play of two personalities. (Sorry for using 'interesting' too much) 'Grief Counseling' was good though. World Series was okay. I think religion was poorly formed.

This is a quick turnaround from Bree... I mean I guess there was some build-up, but this is way too quick, hey, we need to get the story going, but maybe it was too subtle, perhaps? I don't know.

Lonelygirl15: More Bree & Daniel's Relationship
At this point, you must remember that the whole 'is this true or false' mystery hunt is all but over. Most people will understand at this point that this is a fictional show and set their minds accordingly.

So they could something like this. This is the first outside vlog. This also a vlog that doesn't shy away from the professional looking video quality. It's surprisingly crisp for a video ten years ago. This video also sets up the plot with the mention of Cassie and a commissioned music, basically?
Bree The Cookie Monster
This is where interaction really begins, with a cookie contest! And also obviously this video was filmed in advance... you know because it's submitted contest from a few days ago.
A Change In My Life
Now the ball get rolling! Ceremony, huh! Now this is gonna is fun!
Poor Pluto
As mentioned in my ZeFrank run, Pluto was demoted around this time. I remember the time, I was in school and this was a big news there. Anyway, more references and more allusions.
I Want to Take Bree to a Party!
Daniel is a good counterpart to Bree... for a story perspective. He provides for a foil that creates a nice back and forth that lets the creator adjust the story as it unfolds.
Should I Or Shouldn't I?
This is actually a pretty smart way to present conflict but get over the fact that people don't like to film conflicts. That cut was significant and well-used. A simple reversal but semi-effective.
I'm Going to the Party!
Little bit of rebellion and a little bit of growth. Also, these thing can only be possible after the reveal.
House Arrest
Well, it went as fine as it could have been. At time moment a nice contrast of settling and rising. There's the settling of the relationship between Bree and Daniel and the rising of The Ceremony.
In The Park
Paul and Andrea is mentioned here, kind of freedom as we establish the identity of the actors, meaning people can actually apply to the actual show, rather than being spooked.

This only video communication thing must inspired some brothers... (wink) Also I'm bored.
My First Kiss
This... make sense why this was considered as the video for the series. It's a genuine vlog, and Bree is innocent but still has this wisecrack about her that makes her unique. It really makes sense this was written by bunch of 30-year-olds using a 16 year old character to make point and get laughs.
Learning To Drive
This is a really nice video, then turning into major plot momentum with the mention of The Order ofThe Gecko dendrah. This is a classic, oh this is going to be light, oh wait, this is very important.
The Equinox
This is fun sleuthing... Those letters are Enochian letters, which related to Aleister Crowley and other occult people, and you know they like to celebrate Equinoxes and Solstices... yeah... whatever.

Very short video, clear to the point. Daniel is little less understanding, methinks. Or is there more?
My Difficult Decision
This is a major turning point. This is pretty awkward. I guess the kettle was boiling for a while... and this seems to be the conclusion, but I guess in my pretty placid experience, it feels empty?

This is the New Zealand backdrop... um, little risky in a sense. Mentioning New Zealand would be very easy to find Jessica Rose... I mean at this point though the guys are giving away. Interesting that she moved to Nottinghamshire. It's not a bad place actually. maybe it was Russia?
A Peace Offering (and P. Monkey Boogies)
The story is fake I think, this is Greg's first outing. Really it's the first time the fiction is presented... And it's a more nicely paced video, it's more confident in directing as well... yeah, I could dig it.

Daniel's video really creates this new thing that web can do to a certain extent, which is play security and different parts of the plot converge with each other as you feel like you are more invested...

Lonelygirl15: In the Beginning...
(Okay, so I saw that new video... and I decided to review the old and new series concurrently, there will be a post as the news series progress. Thanks... and HOLY WHAT????)
First Blog / Dorkiness Prevails - The first video is designed to awkward and well... first vlog-ish. As I see it now, it's almost sure that it's a fake, but also that fakeness pushes the video to the other side of someone who is just very nervous and rambles and just have to mentioned her favorite YouTubers.
The narrative is also quite nicely set. The person focuses on the town first rather than herself, establishing that the community will be a focus in the story, and it's not going to be personal.
The Gnarls Barkley song is alluded in the first Vlogbrothers video, a clear homage to this series... and it really feels like the people got the aesthetics down... any doubt I have dissipates here...
Purple Monkey - By the second video, the staging the vlog becomes clearer... the camera is set-up quite nicely and actress tends forgo the sixteen-year old personality a bit here and there.
The video introduces The Purple Monkey but lingers quite a lot and it's almost like she's getting bored of this vlog thing, even though it's her second. I guess it fits with the context, but also feels like the writers are deliberately spacing out the introduction... (This is handy in Lizzie Bennet Diaries)
School Work in Summer... BLECHH!!!
A nice work here... this introduces Daniel and also interactivity and overall nice. The weird textbook here should be a real strong clue to some fiction-building and I can't believe no one caught it! Great selection of music... I guess they were music producers. Twice the size... how's that... whatever.

Lot of short cuts. The interaction probably would have sold a lot of people. Australia and New Zealand in the comment, dropping hints to the real whereabouts and also to quell accent?

As the wiki says, the first thing to say in this is how professional the video seemed. Like they were going for music video style days of yore, but there's still something that make this... professional. It's almost like they are breaking away pretense and giving a breather for end of first arc.

This is kind of a first serious video for this series and again contrast from the previous video and the further clue in the comments below gives a good indication of the fake nature, or least dramatic.

Is he a good friend? Did they just met? What's the motivation here? I starting to think Daniel is badly written... Is it the actor? Maybe, to a certain extent. But it really comes to background and motivation.
